The demo → shows how the favicon ↑ gets updated and cleared when you Mark All Stories as Read. For now, requires Firefox for best results. It looks like this:
Usage (may change):
faviconBadge("5") sets badge to "5"
faviconBadge() clears the badge.
This is a new favicon library with badge support. Still experimental. Works best on Firefox, works with mediocre display on Opera (RGBA doesn't work, at least on Canvas), doesn't seem to work on Safari or Chrome (AFAIK they don't support dynamic favicons). #IHaventTestedOnIE.
TODO:
- Incorporate into the original dynamic favicon library. The original API needs a revamp anyway.
